Ian Ward the former England Test batsman reports to Sky Sports that the England Tour of Sri Lanka could be rescheduled to January 2021.
England team has had scheduled before, on playing two test matches this month against Sri Lanka. But the tour of Sri Lanka has come to a sudden end because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As Ian ward said, there could be a window to reschedule the test series to January 2021 before the England Tour of India.
“Any England tour is big for their economy because they’re so well supported.
“They’ll be desperate that those punters that have made the trip to watch the cricket might come back.
“In terms of when that might happen, what I was told is there might be a little window at the beginning of January before England go to India,” Ward told media.
All the cricketers of the world are presently undergoing a forceful held back of playing cricket because of the Coronavirus concerns. When the fear of the virus wears off there might be too much rush to play cricket after resuming their normal life.
